Mr. Creepy is a ventriloquist dummy which dates back to the 1960's. He was made in the likeness of the ventriloquist himself, whose career began in the old Vaudeville days, and his actual hair was used to create the doll.

Another dummy was made in the likeness of the ventriloquist's wife.

After the couple died in an automobile accident sometime in the 1970's, the pair of dummies were obtained at an estate sale by a local antique dealer, who put them on display together in a case in her shop.

Some time later, she was forced to move to a new, much smaller location and in the process of packing, the two dummies got separated. As she unpacked some of the items from storage for the new shop, the husband doll was found and put on display in a case behind the front counter. The wife doll was lost in a box somewhere in the storage unit.

After putting him on display, the antique dealer stated that often she would come in and find him in a different position or notice that his head was turned, and while standing at the counter, she felt like he was staring at her from behind, giving her a creepy feeling.

She decided to name him "Mr. Creepy."

Becoming so uncomfortable, she finally moved him to a glass case way in the back of the store, on a bottom shelf.

One day Ross was in the store and asked if there were any items that were unusual and was immediately shown Mr. Creepy. The owner said she was desperate to get him out of the shop and offered to sell him for $1.00.

Of course, Ross took her up on her offer and paid her the dollar.

After arriving in his new home at Spooked in Seattle, he has moved his head and his eyes on several occasions, though never when anyone has been looking. He also gives the feeling that he is staring at you when your back is turned or when you look him directly in the eyes.

We believe that he may be haunted by the ventriloquist himself, and the reason he moves his head and eyes is because he's looking for his wife.

As the most popular attraction at Spooked in Seattle, Mr. Creepy has been highlighted at many local ghost conferences, including the Oregon Ghost Conference, where an aura photograph was taken that shows a blue aura.

The question is...should a doll have an aura at all?
